Opera About Town Comes to Shaw University

Opera About Town

NC Opera brings Opera About Town, a series of pop-up concerts, to Shaw University on October 20, 2022 as part of the Homecoming festivities.  The performance begins at 5:30pm on the lawn outside Estey Hall.  Be sure to bring something to sit on while you enjoy this short concert.  The artists will perform selections from popular operas –  RIGOLETTO, CARMEN, PORGY AND BESS, THE PEARL FISHERS, MANON LESCAUT, and SANCTUARY ROAD.  Singing for this short 45 minute program will be:

Tenor Jason Karn

Bass-baritone Markel Williams

Pianist Danielle DeSwert Hahn
