Dean’s Black History Month Essay Contest

Congratulations to Shaw University students, Ms. Zariah Ingram and Mr. Robert Sheppard III for being selected as the winners of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Humanities inaugural Dean’s Black History Month Essay Contest.

Ms. Ingram and Mr. Sheppard responded to an invitation to write a reflective essay about the new online museum on North Carolina African American History & Culture. The developers of this online museum enjoyed reading the students’ essays and will use input from the students to continue building the museum site.

Each of the winners will receive a congratulatory certificate and an award of $30.00.
