RALEIGH, N.C. – On Friday, June 24, the Shaw University Bears Booster Club donated $10,000 to the Athletic Department, completing the organization’s third and final installment of a $40,000 gift over the past year.

RALEIGH, N.C. – On Friday, June 24, the Shaw University Bears Booster Club donated $10,000 to the Athletic Department, completing the organization’s third and final installment of a $40,000 gift over the past year. The Shaw Bears Booster Club’s mission is to provide moral, financial and promotional support for the Shaw University Athletic Program.

Lawrence Smith, president of the Shaw University Bears Booster Club Inc., said, “We look forward to continuing our mission with larger financial gifts in the future through the support of our membership, sponsors, fundraising activities and the sales of Shaw Bears Nation merchandise.”

Dr. Paulette Dillard, President of Shaw University, said: “We are so grateful to the Shaw Bears Booster Club for this generous donation to help support our student-athletes and athletics program. The ongoing dedication and commitment they demonstrate by investing in the university should inspire every alum and make all of us extremely proud.”
