Constitutional Protections to College Admission
In June 2023, the Supreme Court ruled on the use of race in college admissions, significantly limiting how colleges consider race as a factor in the admissions process. Supporters of the ruling claim the ruling creates a fair color-blind approach to the admission process. Critics, on the other hand, argue that the ruling will adversely impact minority college students on campuses nationwide and eliminates most progress made over the past 60 years. The student-led discussion panel will discuss the ramifications of the ruling and provide possible solutions.
