Shaw University Successfully Completes Its 2022 Inaugural Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (Vita) Tax Season

Shaw University launched its inaugural 2022 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in Tupper Hall. Free and reliable tax return preparation service was offered to Shaw University faculty, staff, and students. After the completion of a very successful tax season, the site officially closes for the season on April 5, 2022

The site’s success was made possible through the exceptionally dedicated support from the IRS, the Shaw University School of Business and Professional Studies dean and staff, and accounting and business faculty and students. A special thanks goes out to the Shaw University family members who, by entrusting the preparation of your tax returns to the program, provided invaluable “real world” experience to our very talented students.
