RALEIGH, N.C. (March 3) – Shaw University Sports Information Director (SID) Antoine Lynch won a prestigious honor from a national organization on Friday.

Lynch was among a select group of recipients awarded grants to attend the 2023 College Sports Communications (CSC) Convention, which will be held June 11-14 at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, Fla. The 22 grant winners will receive reimbursement of up to $1,000 in expenses related to travel, lodging and meals in addition to a complimentary convention registration.

Lynch is thrilled to win the CSC Convention Attendance Grant, which provides opportunity for college sports communicators to attend the yearly convention.

“I’m honored to have been chosen as one of the few to receive this reward,” said Lynch, in his second year at Shaw as SID. “Truly thankful for the selection committee and all my colleagues who put me in the position to earn this. I look forward to going to convention this year to gain knowledge to help strengthen our program at Shaw University.”

The CSC Unite Orlando Convention, formally known as the CoSIDA Convention, provides professional development and networking for the country’s college sports communicators, including sports information directors.
