Everyone deserves good health, but the cost of healthcare leaves some people in danger of serious illness and premature death. We have found exciting ways to make good health a reality for all. Many options are low cost, and most cost nothing but time and a decision. African Americans no longer need to suffer from lifestyle diseases such as cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke. Wellness 4 All is a health equity program supported by the CEO Roundtable on Cancer and the Shaw University Center for Racial & Social Justice.
One of our major priorities is pursuing CEO Cancer Gold Standard employer accreditation. Awarded by “Going for Gold,” the gold standard employer recognition is extended to universities that champion health and well-being by advancing prevention diagnosis and quality treatment for cancer for students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and communities.
“Shaw University is proud to partner with the CEO Roundtable on Cancer and help spearhead a national movement to improve positive health outcomes in our communities. The collaborative work between our two organizations can serve as a model to build a national framework that educates minority communities, in particular, about cancer prevention, early detection, and increasing access to clinical trials and treatment facilities.”
